Making a Washi Tape Rose, WW

I've been having so much fun with my Washi Tape lately!  I was watching a YouTube video and the lady added a beautiful rose to her craft.  I was impressed with how easy it was to change the whole look and feel of her box she made and so I decided to try and make my own Washi tape rose.  Here are a few pictures I took while creating my rose.
First, I lined up strips of Washi tape to create the pattern I wanted.
Second, I created a template and cut out all my petals.
Third, I strung them all together using my twist tie.

Lastly, I curved up the sides and rotated them to make the impression of a rose and placed it on my latest card design.
Do you have a new craft you've made lately?  I'd love to hear about it!  Be sure to leave your blog link for the WW Blog hop!

What is Washi Tape? WW

Have you ever heard of Washi tape? It's a form of paper tape that is easily removable and used for crafts and was first made in Japan. I'd never heard of washi tape. I used to collect beautiful paper and stamps to craft till my heart was content.  Then I got busy with life and kids and put my crafting days on hold.  Instagram came into my life and I saw these beautiful crafts being made by some of my new friends.  I bought my first washi tape from my friend Luciana at her shop Sugar Paper Designs.  I ordered the heart tape and a cute camera tape to try and see if I would like creating some fun things.  Here are few of my projects...

Washi tape pencils!  I love them!!

Tape over your design with the washi tape.
Flip over your design and cut off the edges or fold them onto the design.
Add your cut out to a card. Give your new card to the one you love!
What kind of crafts have you made with Washi tape?
