Heartbeat Connection Magazine Cover June 2014 and Monster Manners Giveaway

With the weather being so unpredictable lately, the sky shines with color. Each night when the sun goes down, if it's just rained, the highlights on the clouds are so beautiful. The June 2014 cover photo was taken after a recent storm and pink clouds and blue sky are vibrant against the dark tree line.

Our fun giveaway for the month is from Sesame Street, the Monster Manners DVD.  Enter our giveaway held by Rafflecopter below for your chance to win!

I was asked to review a new show by Sesame Street called Monster Manners.  My kids are eight and older, so I wasn't sure if the show would hold their attention, but I was pleasantly surprised.  My daughter loved watching the show and her 10 year old brother thought it was funny.  As a parent I enjoyed the simple lessons they shared.  Cookie Monster shows us table manners, Elmo learns to share, and Rosita learns about no pushing.  There was several songs and one that my kids made their older brother watch was Cookie Monster singing, Me want it.  Then while we were in town we found the video on YouTube and they had their dad watch the funny remix too.

PLEASE JOIN THE FURRY MONSTERS FROM SESAME STREET AND WARNER BROS. HOME ENTERTAINMENT AS THEY KINDLY TEACH MANNERS TO PRESCHOOLERS IN

A picture is worth a thousand words, WW

The adage "A picture is worth a thousand words" refers to the notion that a complex idea can be conveyed with just a single still image.  What do you think?

This last weekend has flown by and I am so thankful!  My daughter turned 7 this weekend.  She was able to invite all her school friends over and some family friends.  They played around the house and then did a fun fashion show for us.

Happy Birthday to my daughter, the girls all had such a fun time!

Elizabeth got the cutest tiny art set for her Birthday.
Today I went to lunch with my husband at Moe's, yum.  Love the Heart logo and the support they provide to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation!
Then enjoyed a spectacular view out my window of tonights setting sun.
PS. Just found these nails on Instagram, adorable! Perfect for Valentines!

Six Reasons Heartfelt Moments are better than Chocolate, WW Entry

Since it's the first of the year, I've been sticking to my exercise regime but have had an incredible desire for chocolate. In order to focus my thoughts on other things I found six reasons heartfelt moments are better than chocolate.  Recently I've been using the Calorie Count app to help me track my progress on my iPhone.    Here are my six snaps from this week that have been helpful.
1.  Go take random heartfelt pictures of flowers!  I went to Lowe's and walked out into the flower garden, took some really pretty pictures and thought this flower was a real beauty.
2.  Take a few heartfelt moments and look for hearts in your food.  Here Jake found a heart shaped nugget.
3.  Visit an art gallery to find heartfelt artwork.
4.  Be creative and draw your own hearts on craft paper, then frame them.
5.  Stop to look up in the sky and see the pretty day.
6.  Head outside and see the setting sun.  (I <3 sunsets!)

What are your heartfelt moments this week that have helped you?  Be sure to leave me a comment and let me know!  Happy Wordless Wednesday to those that participate and have a great week to everyone else!

A Fool-Proof Formula for Making Dreams Come True

I completed a few things today to help in making my dreams come true!  I read a Quote of the Week
If you can Dream it You can Make It! - Walt Disney
Saw this adorable artwork on Facebook, a great visualization!  I think I'd like to have it on my daughters wall!  Then I spent time with my friend Shelly Aristizabal at Venture X, she is launching a new website and we were reviewing the exciting layout.  Venture X has office space for business owners, conference rooms, large rooms for seminars or events and so much more.  It was my first time visiting and if I need to host an event in the future I'll be sure to check them out.
I enjoyed watching tonight's sunset.

Then surfed Instagram and saved this nail art idea for the Heart of Fashion : Nail Heart Art!  Love the Design by Kaitlin Ferland

What's Your Formula for Making Your Dreams Come True?

Comment below, I'd love to read about them.  Join my Blog hop if you have a blog you'd like to link up for Wordless Wednesdays, sometimes not so wordless.

Sky and Sunset Love Wordless Wednesday

I really LOVE skyscapes and sunsets. Here are a few of my favorites I've taken throughout the year.
This one is of my daughter making a cute Heart shape with a view of our sunset.

Sometimes I get inspiration from a site called Instagram and made my LOVE photo using the DoodleBuddy App to add the letters to the picture.

The other day I saw a beautiful heart shaped landscape photo and had to try my own, I used a leftover box for my heart frame.

The last picture was taken yesterday with our bright orange sunset in our neighborhood.  This frame I made with a sheet of art paper then added a dark frame filter from Instagram.

Looking forward to Wordless Wednesday so post your link and I'll be sure to check out your blog.  Have a wonderful week!

xoxo,
Nicole Flothe
