My son is officially a teenager today! I talked to him about what he wanted for his birthday and he decided to just have a family party. We might go to the movies over the weekend but that is still undecided. I asked him what he wanted for a present and he said, "Cash!" Why would I give him cash? He said it was because then he can go out and buy whatever he wanted.
I've officially joined the moms with teenagers!! :)
Please leave me a comment and if you have a teenager, share some tips with me! If you participate in Wordless Wednesday than linkup. Check out this months giveaway, a beautiful designer Heart necklace from Sassy Lemonade.
Ahh! Teenagers are fun! I have an 18 year old boy. I have raised 3 previous teenagers.
He can buy anything he wants as long as he has your approval. He is going to feel his independence, but you know he will still be dependent on you for years to come. It is important for him to start feeling like he can do things on his own, it just a part of the growing up process.
Congratulations on being a mom of a teenager. You have lots of practice to get here, you'll do fine. Just trust your instincts!
Thanks Erika. I went to a girls jewelry party tonight and they asked for the parents with teenagers to stand up. I felt happy to be a part of the group:) Have a great weekend!
Hi Heather, I didn't know it would happen so fast. He was just a little baby the other day. Thanks for the good luck wishes, same to you with your little ones! Cherish every moment! xoxo
Swinging through with the blog hop. My YOUNGEST will be 13 in October. i have already been through this with my oldest 3. I would have (long ago) started off with all of these tips. I am much wiser now. No 2 children are alike. The experience has been vastly different with each child, and I expect it to be as different with this one. All I can do is wish you luck... For a good laugh, check me out @ www.feelingtheemptynest.com
