Father's Day is Almost here, what are you planning? 5 ideas for our Father's Day!

Father's Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. Many countries celebrate it on the third Sunday of June, but it is also celebrated widely on other days. Father's Day was made a permanent national holiday when President Richard Nixon signed it into law in 1972.

My husband's birthday is 4 days before Father's day so he gets two celebrations within the week.  How do you plan on celebrating?

Here are 5 ideas:

1. Search Pinterest for Father's Day.   Here are a few suggestions I found via Pinterest...  http://pinterest.com/nicoleflothe/fathers-day/

2.  Make a special meal for your loved one!  My family loves Shepard's Pie, I think that would make a great dinner.  So simple, ground hamburger meat, place on bottom layer of square 9x9, add a layer of canned corn, then add mashed potatoes to the top.  The kids add ketchup on top.  Mmm!

3.  Rent a movie that has a great Father type story.  We have Netflix, so I found a few good oldies, Father of the Bride, Field of Dreams, and Mrs. Doubtfire.

4.  Hold hands, give extra hugs, and a few extra kisses!

5.  Ask your Father or Husband what he would like to do on his special day!  Sometimes just by asking you can sit back and enjoy the day spent the way they wanted and not stress over if they like what you did for them.

I hope you enjoyed my ideas and if you have some please share with me by leaving me a comment!

What Do We Teach Each Other Without even Knowing?

"It's the little things done consistently over time, straight from your heart, that actually have the greatest impact." - Unknown
What a great teaching from my Instagram friend @heathersanto
I taught my daughters friend how to make a heart with her hands and shadow.
The Dad's were teaching their boys the fun game of basketball!
My Instagram friend @sugarpaperdesigns, she has the most amazing papercrafts and I love all her beautiful photos!  This one captured my heart <3
The kids were showing us the way to the pool!  Teaching us a new path to follow.
They found the pool entrance.  Teaching us patience, we almost get to swim soon!
The bridge provided a great view of the area and we were taught that alligators sometimes are in the lake.
A simple reminder of stopping to view the flowers is what I teach my kids everyday!

What did you teach today?

Random sightings of beauty and hearts, ww entry

How many times do you randomly stop and look for beauty and hearts?  I see them all over, I guess it's because that is what I love!  What is your favorite sight to see?
The Beauty of a Red Flower I found on my walk to see my nephew.
The beauty of an Angel in the Seattle Children's Hospital Gift Shop.
I found these heart sunglasses, I've been looking for them for a while!
The beauty of a sunburst behind swirly clouds.
I see my reflection, my Sister-In-Law Tina and I went on her first outing from the hospital and we found this Heart photo!

Have you ever spent time in Seattle? WW entry

I am spending the week in Seattle, Washington to be a support for my nephew Austin that has surgery scheduled at Seattle Children's Hospital.  We can see the Space Needle from his window. He has lots of family praying and believing for him!  One of the things I love about Seattle is there are so many beautiful flowers in bloom this Spring.  Have you ever been to Seattle?

Dandelion's are so pretty in the sunlight!
Lovely Architecture at the Seattle Children's Hospital
Beautiful Seattle Sunset out Austin's Window
Out for a walk around the hospital and I found this heart on the window!
Love the Purple flowers on this tree!
Looks like snow on this tree!

Fun Activities in Naples, Florida are Feeding Giraffes and Visiting the Naples Zoo

The kids had the day off from school today so we went to our local zoo with their Grandparents Glenn and Cheryl.  As grandparents they can bring their grandchildren for free when they have a season pass! Thanks guys!  We sure enjoyed our trip and it was the first time my daughter got to feed a Giraffe.

I love seeing heart shaped leaves in trees, so pretty!
My kids feeding the Giraffe lettuce!
I was trying to take a picture of the Giraffe and feed him lettuce too.
They moved the tiger and Naples Zoo sign for photos, the shading is not the best at 4pm.
We were able to watch the black bear eat his fruit at the table.  Too funny!
I love Giraffes, they are so beautiful!
Do you have a favorite animal at the zoo?  Please leave me a comment.  If you participate in Wordless Wednesday than linkup.  Also, check out this months giveaway, the Help by Kathyrn Stockett!

6 Healthy Habits that will benefit any Mother on Mother's Day

Simply Smile and Enjoy Life!

6 HEALTHY HABITS

BREATHE
When do you take a minute to really breathe?  Research says that listening to classical music and dimming the lights can help support your breathing.  Taking a nice deep breath and yawning can increase the oxygen to your body and make you feel better.

EXERCISE
It's funny to me to think that exercise boosts energy.  Exercise can be tiring but in the long run the benefits are amazing.  With regular physical activity you improve your muscle strength and boost your endurance.  And when your heart and lungs work more efficiently, you have more energy!

LOVE
Don't argue, love through your disagreements.  A study by Ronald Glazer and Jan Kiecolt-Glaser, in which couples were observed during disputes showed that a more loving, positive interaction had higher immediate immune function.  Dr. Gonzaga says, the key to positive conflict resolution is productively engaging in conversation.

LIVE
Live for today.  Sometimes we get so caught up in our past that we aren't paying attention to our present day.  Stop thinking for a moment and look around you at the many small blessings you have in your life.

PRAY
Good communication is essential to a good relationship.  If we start with a simple daily prayer, it opens up our hearts.  Some people pray in the morning to start their day and others finish their night with a prayer habit.

BELIEVE
"Changing habits is fundamental to changing your life. Everything you repeatedly do, say and think is as a direct result of your habits.  To enjoy permanent, positive change in your life, you must change your negative beliefs and their associated habits," says Tania Kotsos.  Believe in possibilities!
